The Sahodaya Fest would be called as “SAMAGAM” ¼lekxe½, with the motto as “TOGETHER WE STAND”.
It was also observed by the house that all the activities under the aegis of Sahodaya would be conducted only during lekxe -2010. The activities would be conducted at the cluster level i.e. there cannot be any inter cluster participation, provided there are atleast five teams competing for that event. If the number of participating teams are less than five, then the two cluster will join at the venue with more number of participating teams.
If any school wish to organize any activity independent of Sahodaya is free to do so, on their own.
5. The house unanimously proposed “CONSERVATION OF ENERGY” as the theme for Senior & Junior Balvigyan. The proposed date for Senior Balvigyan was 13th Nov. 10. The finalization of dates for Junior Bal Vigyan will be discussed in the coming month.
6. It was also felt by the house to conduct certain group activities under the banner of Sahodaya, to bring about awareness amongst the people of Indore. The proposed activities were
- Awareness about AIDS
- Anti Polythene drive
- Rural Literacy programme etc.
The details would be discussed in the subsequent meetings.
7. The house also felt the necessity of holding workshops/seminars/orientation programmes for the benefit of the Teachers & Principals.
Mrs. Kala Mohan, suggested that the budget be estimated for the said activities, depending upon it, the Sahodaya may sponsor or the member schools may be requested to contribute for the same.
8. The house was against holding dual membership of Sahodaya group . As Dewas & Ujjain have already formed their own Sahodaya School complex. So, the schools falling in these towns may opt for the Sahodaya of their choice.
Mr. S.N. Rao suggested that the schools falling in Nimar region may be allowed to remain associated to Indroe Sahodaya, for which the chairperson in consent with house, agreed upon with fulfilling the criteria of minimum numbers of meeting to be attended, as per the bye laws.
9. The house expressed its joy over the felicitation of Shri M.G. Paranjape, ex-chairman of Indore Sahodaya on his 81st birthday and his valuable contribution in the field of education. The house unconsciously agreed to felicitate Mr. Paranjape in the next Sahodaya Meeting on 28th Aug’10 at Choithram School, North Campus.
10. Mrs. Sangeeta Uppal, Joint secretary, ISSC proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the meeting.
